MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) - Vermonters may receive money in the mail from the state this holiday season as part of Vermont’s unclaimed property program. More than $150,000 will go out to 1,000 Vermonters. Claims range from $100 to $250. The program is an annual effort from the Vermont Treasurer’s Office and the Scott administration to return unclaimed property to Vermonters.
